Grease Trap Spill at Airport

A grease trap had spilled over onto the airport walkway causing an inconvenience all around.  Grease is not always the easiest to clean up due to its texture and consistency.  Here at SERVPRO of South Philadelphia, we have the tools and cleaning products to pick all of that right up.  We started by applying degreaser to the affected area.  Then we scrubbed the grease off with the rotary machine.  Next, we started power washing off the grease and using our extractor as we are going along to prevent any more spread of the mess. For our power washer, we used hot water which helped things move along a lot smoother given the state of the grease.  Water was dumped into a designated grease sewer line for proper disposal.
