Fire Damage in Commercial Basement
This project took just under a month to finalize. A fire had started in the basement of a commercial building in South Philadelphia. We teamed up with SERVPRO of Upper Bucks due to it being such a large loss. Their help is greatly appreciated towards getting the job done. The fire roared overnight into the morning and affected the entire structure with smoke and soot damage on everything in it's way. The area had to cleared out before any cleaning could be done. Once that was complete, a soda-blaster was used to get the soot off the walls and ceiling of the basement. Soda-blasting is a mild form of abrasive blasting in which sodium bicarbonate particles are blasted against a surface using compressed air. It has a much milder abrasive effect than sandblasting. After that, we came in with our power washer and rinsed down the entire area and extracted the water out. This basement is now looking and smelling good as new!
